A Favorite Star Wars Quote

Fear leads to Anger,
Anger leads to Hate,
Hate leads to Suffering!

My Phrase

If there is no pride in passion,
passion does not exist!

The Best of Shel Silverstein (in my eyes of course)

If you are a dreamer, come in
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer,
If you're a pretender,
Come sit by my fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!

My Book Club

Hi again. Today I had a book club meeting, it was really fun. We had read "The Music of Dolphins." It's a wonderful book ( I have a book review). The three of us played charades of the characters and what they wanted or what happened to them. We also acted out three of the characters. The new book is The Penderwicks on Gardam Street. I wonder if it's good.

The BEST Day

Today was MY lucky day to eat with the teacher. At lunchtime, I got to wait around with my friend in the classroom until the teacher came back from escorting the students to lunch and getting her lunch herself. When she came back, we ate. It was awesome. She tried to turn on cartoons but the tv wasn't working. I didn't mind anyway. We talked and talked until 12:35. Then she said, "I have to go get your dessert. Which flavor of ice cream would you like?' I chose vanilla orange and my friend chose chocolate. It was sooooo good! When the kids came in, I finished up my ice cream bar and tossed the stick in the bucket. My teacher said, "It's time for Talk-O-Time which is a priviledge you get every trimester. All the teachers host a different, fun activity." We made a fake roller coaster, a wanted poster, and we had to detect the fake pictures in an art museum. Today was one of the most awesome days in the world!!!

Have You Ever Been Overwhelmed? I have!

Boy, my teachers sure gave me a lot of homework! First, my normal teacher gives me one math sheet. I am pretty good at my multiplication so I didn't worry too much. Well, during reading group I began to worry. Sure, I already had multiplication but when I heard my reading teacher say, "On Wednesday, we are going to turn in our Titanic packets," I was fine with that. I would have plenty of class time as I still had a whole other day to complete it. But then one of my fellow classmates had her eyes open really wide and her eyebrows raised up. I remembered that I had High-C tomorrow and couldn't get to reading class. When my teacher said, " You'll have to bring it home to get it done," I panicked. When I got home that night, my Mom said "Just worry about what is due tomorrow and we will figure out the rest later." By the time the next day came, I had math and a humongous packet to finish. Alright, I did finish the math and got to turn it in but as for the reading packet, I still had 2 pages worth of work. This morning, I woke up TOTALLY stressed out about all the work I still had to do. My tone went completely unnatural in a harsh fashion and I cried twice. Finally, I finished it. It felt so good to know that I would be able to turn in my reading packet successfully and that I finished what I needed to finish!!!!!

Planet Frog

Several days ago, Papi got this frog habitat called Planet Frog. In Planet Frog, you can get tadpoles and watch the metamorphosis occur. There is a guide book that I am reading and it turns out that there are about 4000 different species of frogs. I couldn't believe that there was that many! The world's largest frog is the Goliath frog of Cameroon and the world's smallest frog is known as the Poison Arrow Frog of Cuba. I can't wait to order tadpoles and see the metamorphosis of the tadpole to the frog but I am totally grossed out to feed frogs live crickets!

An AWESOME Book

Have you ever read "The Music of Dolfins"? It is a great book about a girl named Mila who lives with dolfins. Could you live with dolfins? I certainly couldn't. Mila loves it!!! But one day people find Mila and take her to a hospital where she meets 1 friend, a doctor, the doctor's assistant, and the doctor's son. Read the book "The Music of Dolfins" by Karen Hesse and find out more about Mila.

Here is a really cool poem called "My Favorite Kind of Day" by MaryKate R.:

The grass is green,
the sun is shining.
I get to my bike
in perfect timing.
I ride up a hill,
my legs are sore.
But I do it again
two times more.
Then I run inside for lunch,
PB&J is what I'll munch.
Mom takes us to the pool.
I jump in-
how refreshing and cool.
We go home
after two hours.
Look! Here comes
a thundershower.

Have You Ever Found Anything Absurd in your Bed?

For several days now, I have been feeling like I have a sock stuck in my bed. When I moved my foot in a certain spot, I felt a lumpy figure. Last night, I made the decision that the next morning I would find out what it was. I pushed my foot up the side of my bed that way it would be easy to dive under the covers and grab it. But when I did so this morning, I found out that it was doll tights!!!
